Manjula Nomala

Biography

Nomala
Teaching is a rewarding experience.

My name is Manjula Nomala and I am from India. I am honored that I am working for Stall High School. I earned my masters degree MSc in teaching majoring in Math from India in 2001.  I received a Bachelor Degree in Math, Physics and Chemistry in year 1998. I am also holding Bachelor of Education degree in Math. I am highly qualified in high school Math and I also worked as a visiting lecturer for Villa College, Affiliated to Open University of Malaysia. I have been teaching since 1998. I worked in Maldives for 17 years producing excellent results. I moved to United States in 2017 and started work at Stall High School. My strong areas are Algebra, Trigonometry and Statistics. I am quite good at understanding students mentality, communication skills and teaching Math with practical approach. Knowledge and depth in subject are pillars of my teaching. As a teacher who worked in aboard for 17 years I am quick to understand different culture, tradition and life style of students coming from different backgrounds. I strongly believe patience and trust plays a vital role to handle various misbehavior issues. My teaching philosophy is very simple students do not care how much you know, until they know how much you care. At Stall what I observe is caring, caring is what they need first, after they know I care then they open up their heart mind and I can teach them. I show my caring forming relationships with my students and trying to help them find their dreams and strengths so they can believe in themselves the way I believe in them. Either way they are the future and have unlimited value.
