Emily Platt

Hi!!  I am Mrs. Emily Platt and I am a resource/inclusion teacher.  I grew up in Atlanta, but have lived here in Charleston since 1996.  I have been married for 15 years and I have two extremely handsome sons!!

I graduated from Charleston Southern with a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice in 2002 and I graduated from College of Charleston with a Master's Degree in Special Education in 2016.

I started my lifelong career of working with children in 2002 with my first job as a therapeutic counselor in a group home for boys, emergency shelter, and an independent living program for girls.

I started my career in education in 2003 as a Teacher's Assistant in a Orthopedically Impaired Classroom, then as a One on One Assistant, and then as a Teacher's Assistant in a Learning Disabled Classroom.

I knew after working in the classroom for 3 years that my calling was to be a Special Education Educator.  I went back to school and became licensed to teach Special Education.  This is my third year teaching here at Stall and I have loved every minute of it!!!
