Stephanie Payerle

My name is Stephanie Payerle and I am an English Teacher here at Stall.  I grew up in the mountains of North Carolina and went to North Carolina State University (Go Pack!). I graduated with a B.A. in English & Secondary Education.  I started at Stall in the winter of 2011 - the first year in our current building.

I believe my job as an English teacher is to teach students not what to think, but how to think and how to think critically about the world.   I design my curriculum around giving students a platform to become effective readers, thinkers, and communicators through exposing them to diverse literature and non-fiction texts.

In addition to teaching at Stall, I serve as the Junior Class Sponsor.  This means I am in charge of fun things like the Junior Class Trip to Washington, DC!

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our 2 little kiddos.
