Ellen Howard

I am Ellen Hudson Howard, and I am part of the Ninth Grade Academy and the English Department. I teach English One and have been teaching at Stall since the fall of 2018.

My favorite thing about teaching is the opportunity I have to watch my students think critically about the world around them! Being a ninth teacher also gives me the opportunity to watch my young ninth grade students flourish into young men and women during their time at Stall High School, which is a privilege.

I am a native of Charleston, but lived for short stints in the upstate, Nicaragua, the Philippines, and Malawi. I am a graduate of Clemson University where I obtained a Bachelor's Degree in English and Secondary Education.

Outside of school I love to gather with friends and family, experience new things, and fellowship with my church. My husband is my best friend and we love any opportunity to travel and experience the world around us - especially if our pup, Camp, can join!
