EXPERIENCE Dr. Lenhardt began her career in education in 2000 at Hilton Head High School where she was full of a love of literature and passion for intellectual pedagogy. She opened Bluffton High School in 2004, and later moved to Charlotte, where she taught at East Mecklenburg High School. In the fall of 2008, Dr. Lenhardt moved to England for a teaching opportunity of a lifetime. While there, she traveled extensively - from the Blue Mosque in Istanbul to the Canary Islands off the coast of Africa. It was thrilling for her to “see” all the places that she read about it books. She even visited Socrates gravesite in Greece, where someone wrote in a sharpie, “Ben was Here.”  She was humbled at StoneHenge as light illuminated the rocks at sunset, and was shocked that, 100 years later, crows still sit ominously at London Dungeons where they once dined on the remains of its prisoners. In 2009, Dr. Lenhardt returned to the US, and took a teaching position with Charleston County School District. In 2011, Dr. Lenhardt was promoted to Assistant Principal and has been serving students, parents, and families ever since.

PHILOSOPHY Dr. Lenhardt believes that it is self evident that all children can learn. She is the quintessential servant leader who leads by example. Everyday is a new day to grow and learn, and to be big, beautiful, and burn bright.
