This year marks my 10th year as a teacher here at Stall. I look forward to working with you as we strive to prepare you for your future goals both in and out of the classroom. Please contact me anytime you have a question or concern.
This year I am teaching Advanced Placement English 4 (both semesters), English Essentials, CP English 1, and a sophomore Academy class. I also advise the Student Council and coach the Forensics and Debate team. I serve as the Gifted and Talented Coordinator and chair the Curriculum and Instruction Faculty Committee.
Outside the Classroom:
I am blessed with a rich and full life outside the classroom as well. My wonderful and supportive husband, Alan, and I have two children: Hannah and Jason. Come to ball games, school plays, the Forensics tournaments, and other school events to meet any of them. As one student remarked last year, my kids are "Stall's Biggest Fans."
I grew up in North Charleston off Dorchester Road, attending Goodwin Elementary, Brentwood Middle, and Garrett High School. For undergraduate school, I attended Columbia College. Then I earned my Masters at the College of Charleston and my law degree from Wake Forest University. Having practiced law for seven years, we decided to return home and I determined to give back to the community who had given me so much by becoming a high school English teacher. My students and former students bless me daily and inspire me to give them both my energy, enthusiasm and knowledge.
