Mr. Tawayne W. Weems is an assistant principal at R. B. Stall High School. He attended the University of Akron where he obtained his Bachelors of Science in Spanish and Education. While attending the University of Akron, Mr. Weems studied for a semester at the Autonomous University of Guadalajara in Guadalajara Mexico. He obtained his Masters from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in Leadership and Information Technology. He began his education career at John R. Buchtel High School in Akron, Ohio where he taught Spanish. He later moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where he taught Spanish and Latin. He later became an assistant principal and principal in the Pittsburgh Public School District.
After serving students for 15 years, Mr. Weems took advantage of a great opportunity and took an early retirement. He moved to the Dominican Republic for two years, which had been a dream of his since 1998.
Upon returning from the Dominican Republic, Mr. Weems began his search for employment in a school. He obtained a job teaching Spanish at R.B. Stall High School in October of 2012. The following year he was promoted to assistant principal and continues in that position currently.
